Information & Custom Orders

About:

Each and every piece is personally handmade and built to last. Based in Southern Ontario, I initially began sewing to fix and make outdoor gear because I was frustrated with how quickly things fell apart. While I mainly do leatherworking now, I place a continuing emphasis on durability in anything I make.

Stoicism:

Stoicism is an ancient Greek and Roman philosophy that teaches focusing on what we can control and accepting what we cannot. It emphasizes living with virtue, wisdom and self-discipline. It has been a significant influence on my life and I continue to find it valuable. For further reading, two of the most important texts can be read here (for free) at Project Gutenberg:

- Meditations - Marcus Aurelius

- Discourses - Epictetus

I'm also a big fan of Letters from a Stoic - Seneca (Internet Archive)

Custom Orders & Engraving:

I am able do both personalized engravings on existing designs and entirely custom projects. Engraving adds very little time to production and works best with black-and-white images (though it is often able to get a nice engraving out of a color photo, it is not certain). Turnaround for custom projects is generally 1-4 weeks, depending on a number of factors. Please feel free to reach out, if it's not a project I'm able to take on then I might be able to point you at someone who can.

Aboriginal Artists Featured in Linings:

In my work, I really enjoy using the beautifully printed fabric from a number of Canadian Aboriginal artists. They also do gorgeous prints and other work, check them out here:

Guarantee:

If anything breaks under any normal circumstances it will be repaired or replaced. In any abnormal circumstances, if I consider it a cool and / or funny story, that will likely also be covered.
