May 3 - Passport / Notebook Cover Workshop (at Royal City Muay Thai)

Event Date: May 3 from 2-5pm

Location: Royal City Muay Thai (251 Woodlawn Rd W unit 217, Guelph, ON)

• Come learn some traditional leathercrafting skills and walk away with a hand-stitched Passport / Notebook Cover from high-quality, vegetable tanned leather.

• Make it unique by adding a colored, hot-foil embossing of your choice once you're done. 

• All materials, including pre-cut & punched project pieces with snaps installed, will be supplied (cutting & punching can be demonstrated but will not be required).

• The focus of the workshop will be on learning the fundamentals of hand-stitching (using the Saddle stitch) and edge finishing (sanding, beveling and burnishing).

• A significant portion of all proceeds will go towards Team Canada's Fundraiser for their trip to Thailand! 

• For Customized Engravings: I do leather engravings via CO2 laser, which uses a digital file to burn away the top grain of leather to create a contrasting, darker color. It is capable of impressive detail but it is basically creating a black & white or 2-tone image. If you want to be sure of a good result, anything black & white or 2-tone will have the most reliably good outcome. More complex images or photos can vary greatly, I have quite a bit of experience but I cannot guarantee results. Please feel free to contact me with any further questions to discuss!
